This beautiful venue is situated only a couple of miles from the centre of Bath but you couldn't be further away from the hustle and bustle of a busy city. The location is very picturesque, located on top of a hill with amazing views across the Limpley Stoke Valley and River Avon and offers numerous photo opportunities within the spectacular gardens and grounds.

The American Museum, an early 19th Century mansion, is the ideal location for couples to hold their weddings and is licensed to carry out civil marriage or partnership ceremonies. A great thing about this venue is that they will only ever hold a single wedding on any day which means that couples choosing to get married or hold their receptions here will benefit from the undivided attention of the staff.

At the venue there are three distinct areas to choose from in which to hold a wedding and reception or private party. Firstly there is The South Lawn where a marquee can be erected and this will accommodate up to 140 guests. Hire includes the use of all tables and chairs for guests to use. The Coach House & Stables are both fully licensed to host civil marriage and partnership ceremonies and give access to the Mount Vernon Garden and terrace via French doors. This garden provides an ideal location for stunning wedding photos! Within The Coach House & Stables there is adequate space for a band or disco to set up and entertain guests. Finally The Cafe is a smaller space seating approximately 60 guests but this can also be used in conjunction with The Terrace and other areas at the museum.

Catering here is provided exclusively by one of the leading catering companies within the South West. They offer outstanding customer service and offer a delicious array of dishes on their menus. They can provide canapes, buffets and BBQ's to sensational wedding breakfasts or even a banquet!
